On our first day in Ireland, we went to Howth, a small village and suburb of Dublin. We went there by a so-called dart train. With about 8,000 inhabitants you get a great overview, because there aren't so many tourists or crowds of people.
HOWTH HARBOUR

Next to seafood restaurants and shops you can find the port and also a beach. The atmosphere was quite interesting: calm, exciting and typically Irish. In our point of view, this was a perfect start for our week in Ireland/Dublin. We were a little bit tired because of the flight and the bus trip to our hotel, so this was a nice side trip.
First we walked around and had a look at the little shops and the market, where you can find different meals or souvenirs. Later, we went to the port, took some pictures like real tourists and relaxed a little bit.
Furthermore, we had the chance to listen to a very talented street musician named Aaron Finn. So we sat at the port, with great live music and fish 'n chips.
In addition, the weather was fantastic! For sure, it's not a criterion for our advice, but it's just a nice side effect for this day or for the whole week, because we were very lucky! We had to buy new clothes, because it was too hot and we had just big jackets or pullovers. So we were prepared for typically Irish weather, but nearly every day we had about 25 degrees, so it was also funny for us. Sounds perfect right?

So if you are in Ireland and you want to chill a little bit, Howth is the perfect place. And also the restaurants there were full of people, so it's also a nice region for people who love fish and other sea food.
