CATHEDRALS

In Dublin you can find many interesting cathedrals and churches like

the “St. Patrick's Cathedral“, the “Christ Church Cathedral“ and

the “Pro-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary“.

We wanted to visit the St. Patrick's Cathedral, because the whole face of the building looked very fascinating. Unfortunately we were too late, so the cathedral was already closed, nevertheless we took some pictures and walked around the building. The official name of this cathedral is “Ard-Eaglais Naomh Pádraig“ and in former times this building was sanified, because of some donations by the Guinness-Family.

We had a strict programme when we were in Dublin, so we couldn't visit the other cathedrals, in this case we were very disappointed, nevertheless on many websites, other tourists wrote about their experiences there.

In our opinion all of those cathedrals are very impressive and they convey a certain feeling for the middle-ages. They have a special appearance and that's the reason why they are a famous sight in Dublin and many tourists love to stay there for some hours to explore these former times.
